Elena Herself....
Elena and Morris came to Los Ayala in the early 1990's. As soon as they could retire, they purchased Casamara.
When they first came, Los Ayala was still a very small fishing village. They became involved in the community, building bridges (literally and figuratively), putting in basketball hoops and starting a library for the children in the area.
Sadly, both Elena & Morris have recently passed, but their love of community continues through Elena's Biblioteca and various community projects to help children with scholarships, uniforms, shoes, school supplies.
Please enjoy learning a little about Elena

Elena...continues...
When Elena & Morris came to Los Ayala, 35+ years ago, school was being held on a slab of cement. She said, "I think we can do better than that!" She and Morris...and her family and her very good friends, contributed in time, talents and efforts.... Learning, education, service and love where what she was all about. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ...expressed in loving everyone. If there was a need for a jacket or shoes, for a back pack or money for the combi to school, Elena was there for the families of Los Ayala and La Joya. Ask any of the local families who have been here for many years, about Elena, they all knew and loved her. She was a shining light... She is still shining and....Elena's Biblioteca continues.... Love you Mom!
